Ionică Corcoveanu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Li Ying in the 20th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Corcoveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eintracht Cernavoda's Ionică Corcoveanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Eintracht Cernavoda's Yin Li Ying. But to his dismay, Yin Li Ying quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by İlmi Zülfü in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Luz Tejedor hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yin Li Ying in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ionică Corcoveanu. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Goasdoue, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Eintracht Cernavoda defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionică Corcoveanu. The Eintracht Cernavoda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionică Corcoveanu should have stopped the shot. Ionică Corcoveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Gâlcă got free with Rolando Noboa in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Corcoveanu saved Eintracht Cernavoda from getting behind.
