Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wagner Vaida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Bueno came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Murilo Bueno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Murilo Bueno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 25 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wagner Vaida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wagner Vaida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wagner Vaida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Ribeiro Sales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Wagner Vaida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Rudolph Flege had to leave the field with a concussion. Felix Luque charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Luque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ribeiro Sales FC made a substitution. Danilo de Azevedo replaced Rudolph Flege. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

In the 55th minute, Isen Gard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 57th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wagner Vaida was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 60th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Isen Gard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribeiro Sales FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isen Gard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Facundo Cadaval took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wagner Vaida. Wagner Vaida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. In the 69th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wagner Vaida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 74th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wagner Vaida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Wagner Vaida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Ribeiro Sales FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isen Gard in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Wagner Vaida in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
