Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. José Paulo Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Kauã Mandrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Retumbante FC's José Paulo Mendonça in the 12th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jonathan Ferrant was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Venezuela through an amazing save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Mendonça in the 16th minute of play. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Retumbante FC were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kauã Mandrak took the corner. The corner ended in Kauã Mandrak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 35th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 36th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Paulo Mendonça took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Mendonça came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Retumbante FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Retumbante FC made a substitution. Jarbas Dantas replaced Basílio Cearense. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. When José Paulo Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Retumbante FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Paulo Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Mendonça in the 55th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Fabinho Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabinho Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Retumbante FC's Apat Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Mandrak in the 83rd minute of the match. Belmiro Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Retumbante FC's Belmiro Mello got a free kick in the 87th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Mandrak came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
