In the 5th minute Necip Fazıl Nurettin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bize Heryer Trabzon fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Bize Heryer Trabzon's Bilge Baykal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 9th minute. Bilge Baykal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Bize Heryer Trabzon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 12 minutes into the match, Bize Heryer Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nejat Taykurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bize Heryer Trabzon's Nejat Taykurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nejat Taykurt having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bize Heryer Trabzon's Cem İlbilge got a free kick in the 15th minute. Nejat Taykurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced Bize Heryer Trabzon's goalkeeper Nejat Taykurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes Bize Heryer Trabzon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luis Andino advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 25th minute. Nejat Taykurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nejat Taykurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Bize Heryer Trabzon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Ianni to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bilge Baykal in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Nejat Taykurt. Bize Heryer Trabzon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bilge Baykal made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bilge Baykal in the 56th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nejat Taykurt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bilge Baykal in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bize Heryer Trabzon's Bilge Baykal got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nejat Taykurt. Teobald Betonowy charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teobald Betonowy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Teobald Betonowy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nejat Taykurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bize Heryer Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necip Fazıl Nurettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Nejat Taykurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cem İlbilge's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cem İlbilge helped the player get up and apologised. Cem İlbilge kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bize Heryer Trabzon's Bilge Baykal got a free kick in the 93rd minute. With a little luck, Bize Heryer Trabzon's Nejat Taykurt got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
