Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Asrın İsmet started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, İZMİR S.K.'s Modesto Louis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. İZMİR S.K. were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karadeniz Haktanır took the corner. Modesto Louis made a great header on İZMİR S.K.'s corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, İZMİR S.K. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alif Malaiholo to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Cristian Sancho played forward. Tymoteusz Setara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the match, İZMİR S.K.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tymoteusz Setara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Modesto Louis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-1. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asrın İsmet in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Modesto Louis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Camilo Gisbert made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by İZMİR S.K.'s Joel Braga. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Louis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alif Malaiholo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. İZMİR S.K.'s Kudret Humbaracıbaşı was substituted for Cüneyt Çetinay. After a rather tough play, İZMİR S.K.'s Alif Malaiholo got a free kick in the 65th minute. 66 minutes in the game, Daniel Zorita dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when İZMİR S.K. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Utkan Sarıalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tymoteusz Setara was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 3-2. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Tymoteusz Setara threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 80th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Louis in the 88th minute of the match. Tymoteusz Setara made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Cristian Sancho played forward. The İZMİR S.K. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
