Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, İZMİR S.K.'s Joaquin Gayoso threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Modesto Louis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes in the game, Modesto Louis dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Louis in the 61st minute of play. After 62 played minutes İZMİR S.K. got a freekick which was hit by Joel Braga. The supporters of Uruguay booed when İZMİR S.K. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68th play minutes Modesto Louis shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Jorge Sainz got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Camilo Franco. After 80 minutes of play, İZMİR S.K.'s Modesto Louis made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Modesto Louis in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute, Asrın İsmet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The İZMİR S.K. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Jorge Sainz with Francisco Seco as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Modesto Louis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere.
