The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sandro Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rien Oss in the 14th minute of play forced FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Tuncer Doğu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Muñes de Don Cuco's zone, Anfilogino Sasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baron Buffon came out of the goal and Anfilogino Sasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rien Oss took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tuncer Doğu. Tuncer Doğu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. FC SOLOTHURN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Panait Stolniciu in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Iker Losada could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Tuncer Doğu however easily saved by the left post. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Wilfredo Mero managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armando Rossetti in the 33 minute of the game. 36 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Sasso came free, but Baron Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Rien Oss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tuncer Doğu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tuncer Doğu made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Iker Losada sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rdth minute of the game Anfilogino Sasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baron Buffon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's goal looked a bit too open when Rien Oss came free, but Tuncer Doğu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anfilogino Sasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Rien Oss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Doğu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Tuncer Doğu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Rien Oss notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC SOLOTHURN's Tuncer Doğu. Tuncer Doğu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Ramon Pero was substituted for Rien Oss. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anfilogino Sasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Baron Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anfilogino Sasso's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. FC SOLOTHURN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Panait Stolniciu in the 78th minute. Ramon Pero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tuncer Doğu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play.
