Copetonas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pompiliu Ciutacu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tuncer Doğu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Ciutacu in the 10th minute of play forced FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Tuncer Doğu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC SOLOTHURN's Tuncer Doğu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Ciutacu in the 12th minute of play. Tuncer Doğu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Ciutacu in the 14th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Armando Rossetti in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Copetonas AFC's İrfan Ergüder. Tuncer Doğu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Ciutacu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Marcelo Cordairo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Sasso in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pompiliu Ciutacu during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Copetonas AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Pompiliu Ciutacu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC SOLOTHURN's Gustaw Zuraw got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th match minute, FC SOLOTHURN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaw Zuraw to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anfilogino Sasso to make the kick off. FC SOLOTHURN's Tuncer Doğu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Paxinos in the 51st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Copetonas AFC's corner Jeronimo Franco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tuncer Doğu quite easily take care of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's Panait Stolniciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Cordairo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Paxinos in the 57th minute of play forced FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Tuncer Doğu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Copetonas AFC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after FC SOLOTHURN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeronimo Franco took the corner. Copetonas AFC's İrfan Ergüder managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armando Rossetti in the 68 minute of the game. Breno da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tuncer Doğu having to make a save. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Tuncer Doğu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute Kostas Paxinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Doğu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Copetonas AFC's Jeronimo Lehior quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Armando Rossetti, made in the 91st minute of the game. Marcelo Cordairo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Madruga in the 95th minute of play. FC SOLOTHURN walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
