After a rather tough play, Rusinska Cigelka's Miroslav Vrba got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Rojas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduard Sýkora. Rodrigo Rojas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Tobías Astorga lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Eduard Sýkora. The supporters of Atlético Nuevo Laredo booed when Rusinska Cigelka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Václav Bega didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Eduardo Mincho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rusinska Cigelka the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Etxatxu got free with Eduard Sýkora in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benicio Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stano Tinkanič, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Rodrigo Rojas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Tobías Astorga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Etxatxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Rojas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eduard Sýkora. That made the score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Rojas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Bernat in the 56th minute of play forced Rusinska Cigelka's goalkeeper Eduard Sýkora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavol Bubán hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Rusinska Cigelka's Štefan Lacko in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gabriel Rybársky struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Benicio Javiero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rusinska Cigelka. 83 minutes into the match, Tobías Astorga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduard Sýkora. Rusinska Cigelka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobías Astorga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Eduard Sýkora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Etxatxu in the 89th minute of the match. Rodrigo Rojas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduard Sýkora having to make a save. Pavol Bubán's late challenge caught a Atlético Nuevo Laredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pavol Bubán helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rusinska Cigelka getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Pavol Bubán hit a great ball. Eduard Sýkora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Rojas, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Miroslav Vrba kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
