The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th minute Cássio Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zlatan Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordan F1 91-05's Zlatan Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Cioran in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Ferdinand Voicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zlatan Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sören Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Nilsson in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jordan F1 91-05's Stefan Johansson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Zlatan Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Jordan F1 91-05's Gunnar Nilsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sören Malmberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Cássio Dracena notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jordan F1 91-05's Zlatan Buffon. Zlatan Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nazeer Mhlathe was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Jordan F1 91-05 booed when Club 23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Săraru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Club 23 defense, Nazeer Mhlathe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sören Malmberg. The Club 23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sören Malmberg should have stopped the shot. Zlatan Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Dracena in the 57th minute of play. Zlatan Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Bogdanović in the 60th minute of the match. After 65th play minutes Gunnar Nilsson shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Sören Malmberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Gunnar Nilsson took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sören Malmberg. Sören Malmberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Nazeer Mhlathe hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Sören Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Nilsson in the 74th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Club 23 got a freekick which was hit by Nae Lalescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Bogdanović in the 79th minute of play forced Jordan F1 91-05's goalkeeper Zlatan Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Chodzinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zlatan Buffon having to interfere. Club 23's Sören Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazeer Mhlathe in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Jordan F1 91-05 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Stefan Johansson hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Cássio Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zlatan Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jordan F1 91-05 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club 23 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
