Galsino Almarza hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Boleslaw Nakoneczny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The STAL ST WOLA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai got control of the ball when Betadur Medel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roman Matai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Longo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Matías Longo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roman Matai. STAL ST WOLA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matías Longo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in STAL ST WOLA's zone, Galsino Almarza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Matai came out of the goal and Galsino Almarza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of STAL ST WOLA booed when Montevideo City Torque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Galsino Almarza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaw Bendyk in the 34th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Manoel Loarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Loarte having to interfere. Manoel Loarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Lech in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Galsino Almarza got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Mikolaj Lech came free, but Manoel Loarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The crowd rose to their feet as Zygmunt Bielejewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manoel Loarte. That made the score 1-3 in the 59 minute of play. Manoel Loarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Bielejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Mikolaj Lech reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manoel Loarte. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 69th minute, STAL ST WOLA's Mikolaj Lech ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manoel Loarte. Manoel Loarte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 72nd minute, Michel Batistuta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The STAL ST WOLA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. In the 75th match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduino Lecanda to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Michel Batistuta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manoel Loarte, 1-7. Manoel Loarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Bielejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
