An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Burutzagi in the 16th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Eron Reguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Gonzales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eron Reguer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Serafino Jerano's late challenge caught a Penuel Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafino Jerano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Penuel Football Club booed when Sajones F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Jerano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jorge Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, Sajones F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ovalle came free, but Julio Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Veronica Vielva got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 30 minutes, Clemente Gonzales made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Penuel Football Club's Eron Reguer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Niceto Ovalle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Quinten was relentless in the 34th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niceto Ovalle was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Penuel Football Club getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Raul Bertiz hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Ramos Cuyar made a precise shot to the right of Julio Quinten. Sajones F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Leonides Ordono came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sajones F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Ordono couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, one of Penuel Football Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Penuel Football Club. In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Sajones F.C.. Serafino Jerano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eron Reguer. 1-3. In the 98th minute, Ramos Cuyar made a precise shot to the right of Julio Quinten. Sajones F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3.
