Leo Busvidad's late challenge caught a Reconquistense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Busvidad helped the player get up and apologised. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Josu Garoña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Calvino in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Argi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bonifaco Villalcazar struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Reynaldo Argi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.S.D Punta Ballena. Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nevada Chapital 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Onofre Masas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Argi having to interfere. The C.S.D Punta Ballena fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when C.S.D Punta Ballena's Nevada Chapital looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dalmacio Ciceron kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nevada Chapital was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Isaias Fuertehijar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.S.D Punta Ballena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reconquistense FC the free kick. In the 51st match minute, C.S.D Punta Ballena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Fuertehijar to maneuver through the defense. Bonifaco Villalcazar took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reynaldo Argi. Reynaldo Argi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Reynaldo Argi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nevada Chapital's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Isaias Fuertehijar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Argi having to interfere. In the 64th minute Isaias Fuertehijar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nevada Chapital's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Argi was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Reynaldo Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piearres Samperio, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When Mario Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reconquistense FC's protests and gave Mario Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C.S.D Punta Ballena booed when Reconquistense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 minutes of play, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Nevada Chapital made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Argi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reynaldo Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nevada Chapital, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Piearres Samperio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Reynaldo Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Hector Aragones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Nevada Chapital nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Argi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Reconquistense FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.S.D Punta Ballena.
