Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play forced Sundets Pärla FC's goalkeeper Dan Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sundets Pärla FC's Dan Söderström. Dan Söderström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dan Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Finman in the 18th minute of play. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 19thth minute grab hold of the ball when Michael Finman from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Michael Finman sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Söderström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play forced Sundets Pärla FC's goalkeeper Dan Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Finman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aureliano Vigil hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Söderström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Finman to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Dan Söderström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Agustín Saelices's late challenge caught a Sundets Pärla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustín Saelices helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Finman came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Dan Söderström made a huge save. Clodoveo Fliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Sundets Pärla FC got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Vigil. In the 67th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Söderström skillfully saved the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Finman in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dan Söderström. 1-2. In the 75th minute Michael Finman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Michael Finman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundets Pärla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
