Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Alberto Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsigmond Pál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match, George Buzoianu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joaquin Gayoso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Buzoianu. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Gurlui, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Anton Baicea kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Iosif Gurlui got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uruguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when George Buzoianu scored to the left of an out of position Joaquin Gayoso, making the score, 1-0. George Buzoianu had several of the Uruguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Joaquin Gayoso as he didn't even see the shot coming. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- defense, Camilo Franco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zsigmond Pál. The F.C. Baia Mare -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zsigmond Pál should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Camilo Franco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zsigmond Pál narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Tărbac kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Buzoianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Buzoianu to make the kick off. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Gurlui in the 52nd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Gurlui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. After 60 minutes, Jorge Sainz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sainz to maneuver through the defense. George Buzoianu might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Buzoianu ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla got a free kick in the 66th minute. Iosif Gurlui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Tărbac to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Buzoianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Anton Baicea kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Buzoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Buzoianu in the 80th minute of play. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Manuel Tărbac got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Manuel Tărbac off the ground. Manuel Tărbac hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zsigmond Pál made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when George Buzoianu came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
