In the 15th minute of the match, 贺卫崇 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lautaro Navarro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 16th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. If Luca Espinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Esteban Carvallo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Carvallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of 铸剑师 booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 26th minute. 贺卫崇 scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moises Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ocampo to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Evis made a kick off. 袁青林 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. It was a brilliant solo performance by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga when he shot the ball into the net to 2-2 in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, 铸剑师's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but 袁青林 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes, 鲁杰亦 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 铸剑师 and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the 铸剑师 defense, Luca Espinar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 袁青林. The 铸剑师 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 袁青林 should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 袁青林 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 袁青林 was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Edmundo Espiga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmundo Espiga really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. In the 96th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
