Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Deilmison van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denílson Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. Vítor Roque replaced Betão Marquez. After 26 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Juan Diego Tenorio. Deilmison van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Deilmison van Basten came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the ATHLETICO PRaiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deilmison van Basten couldn't finish the play. When Juan Diego Tenorio fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Juan Diego Tenorio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Diego Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deilmison van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deilmison van Basten took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten. But to his dismay, Deilmison van Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Deilmison van Basten was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes, Deilmison van Basten made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Xavier Zoido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Deilmison van Basten sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Deilmison van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Jacobo Nores in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Deilmison van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. In the 91st minute, Deilmison van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deilmison van Basten in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paraguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jacobo Nores.
