Agroboys SM - CIMZ were furious when Cléberson Munhoz was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Agroboys SM - CIMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Costa Rica:s goal. Valério Monteiro had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Axel Tasis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tião de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Moraes in the 25th minute of the match. Paulinho Moraes scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Acácio Freitas hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Axel Tasis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro didn't even have to move. Valério Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 34th minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Marco Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Marco Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Hoffmann in the 43rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Marco Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Marco Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. A collision led to Agroboys SM - CIMZ getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Marco Hoffmann hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Marco Hoffmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paulinho Moraes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Correia in the 73rd minute of play. 0-5 became the score in the 76th minute when Marco Hoffmann elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Hoffmann. Valério Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Marco Hoffmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Agroboys SM - CIMZ played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
