After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Luis Rubio got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Chandozos's Gar Cumbres got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adan Catalan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. Chandozos's Gar Cumbres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Chandozos from getting a goal against them. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Chandozos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Suarbol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Francesco Suarbol in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. Vellito Colmenares scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Raymon Albisu made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymon Albisu in the 45th minute of the match. Vellito Colmenares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Fernandino to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Raymon Albisu took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. Carlo Faso hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Vellito Colmenares took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. Chandozos's Vellito Colmenares got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mantzio Consul in the 81st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Luis Rubio got a free kick in the 86th minute. Mantzio Consul might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mantzio Consul ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Vellito Colmenares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 0-7. If Vellito Colmenares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
