In the 15th match minute, Burriss was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mack Sansouci to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobrin Cormoran in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dobrin Cormoran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The supporters of Burriss booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Abe Atwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burriss's supporters rose to their feet, but Abe Atwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Dobrin Cormoran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dobrin Cormoran to make the kick off. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Truman Hinton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 57 played minutes Burriss got a freekick which was hit by Dobrin Cormoran. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Burriss's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Sakarias Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Peacock, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Truman Hinton's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Truman Hinton helped the player get up and apologised. Truman Hinton kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dobrin Cormoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Dobrin Cormoran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dobrin Cormoran in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Friday Sobota took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Burriss were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
