Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 9 minutes, Osasun Leys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curicó-Unido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osasun Leys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 11th minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osasun Leys in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 16th minute Curicó-Unido were awarded a corner. Román Hoefler went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Curicó-Unido's Osasun Leys shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Curicó-Unido's Manuel Lameirinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Manuel Lameirinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 36th minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Manuel Lameirinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Curicó-Unido's Orlondón Marileo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Román Hoefler's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Curicó-Unido's Román Hoefler was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 47th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osasun Leys made a kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Román Hoefler in the 53rd minute of play. Curicó-Unido were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Román Hoefler took the corner. The corner ended in Osasun Leys almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Manuel Lameirinhas however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Curicó-Unido's Manuel Lameirinhas got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curicó-Unido's Manuel Lameirinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Curicó-Unido from getting a goal against them. Curicó-Unido made a substitution. Juan Raúl Falcón replaced Visen Mattensohn. After 70 played minutes Curicó-Unido got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Angeloni. After 75 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Lameirinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Hipolito Angeloni spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho.
