All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Vargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Angeloni came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Osasun Leys managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Curicó-Unido booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Curicó-Unido were the better team. Curicó-Unido's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
