Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Sportivo Luan Toro's Robert Davison got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Olli Fiedler made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Robert Davison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Monty Rogers in the 37th minute. Olli Fiedler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olli Fiedler in the 39th minute of play. Raphael Moore hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, Olli Fiedler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olli Fiedler to make the kick off. When Cassius Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cassius Byrne couldn't finish the play. Raphael Moore hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Robert Davison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Sportivo Luan Toro's corner Olli Fiedler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. Sportivo Luan Toro made a substitution. Ricardo Mendez replaced Jo Barone. Raphael Moore made in the 65th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cassius Byrne however managed to control. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Luan Toro's goalkeeper Robert Davison, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Baker in the 90th minute of play forced Sportivo Luan Toro's goalkeeper Robert Davison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Martins Palermo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martins Palermo got free with Marco Day in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
