When Jaime Pardo fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Jaime Pardo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pardo to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Rakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Iason Plexioudas in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MELATES F.C.'s Iason Plexioudas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Campos in the 11th minute of play. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iason Plexioudas having to interfere. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Norbert Rakowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Paraguay booed when MELATES F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Chasiotis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iason Plexioudas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Norbert Rakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jaime Pardo sped through MELATES F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iason Plexioudas. In a very dangerous position, a player in MELATES F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Iason Plexioudas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. In the 35th minute, Dimosthenis Tzalakostas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Covarrubias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Iason Plexioudas made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Panos Chasiotis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norbert Rakowski to strike the kick off in the second half. When Norbert Rakowski fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Norbert Rakowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Jaime Pardo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 65 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. MELATES F.C.'s Iason Plexioudas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 69th minute of play. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 75th minute. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iason Plexioudas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When MELATES F.C.'s Norbert Rakowski in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. After 85 played minutes MELATES F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Panos Chasiotis. 87 minutes into the match, MELATES F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Iason Plexioudas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of MELATES F.C.'s Iason Plexioudas. Iason Plexioudas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Norbert Rakowski took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it.
