Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Luca Mureșan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stephan Overmars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Iulian Nisipeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Nisipeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martien Crans, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Albert Baican kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Martien Crans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 minutes of play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Filip Valerian made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. René Batum was left in no man's land by his defense there! -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Iulian Nisipeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hendrik-Jan Oude Kamphuis in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes, Damian Vârnav mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau and the Pannekoeken players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to -BZF- Viitorul Buzau getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Damian Vârnav hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Floris Abbenbroek in the 33rd minute of play forced -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Iulian Nisipeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Luca Mureșan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Batum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to -BZF- Viitorul Buzau getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Costel Buzgar hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Martien Crans came free, but Iulian Nisipeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hendrik-Jan Oude Kamphuis made a kick off. After some careless play in the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau defense, Martien Crans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iulian Nisipeanu. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iulian Nisipeanu should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Pannekoeken's Floris Abbenbroek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iulian Nisipeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Floris Abbenbroek hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Costel Buzgar hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Stephan Overmars recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Floris Abbenbroek to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Mureșan in the 77th minute of play forced Pannekoeken's goalkeeper René Batum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Floris Abbenbroek got free with Iulian Nisipeanu in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Martien Crans made a precise shot to the right of Iulian Nisipeanu. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's zone, Martien Crans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iulian Nisipeanu came out of the goal and Martien Crans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Damian Vârnav hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Pannekoeken supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pannekoeken would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
