The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafal Kosowski got free with Cesário Sanches in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 39 minutes, Rafal Kosowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brzostowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafal Kosowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Brzostowiec defense, Joaquim Palhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugeniusz Redisz. The Brzostowiec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugeniusz Redisz should have stopped the shot. The Brzostowiec players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AD Pontassolense were winning 0-1.

When Fernando Portela came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the AD Pontassolense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Portela couldn't finish the play. Fernando Portela's late challenge caught a Brzostowiec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Portela helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in AD Pontassolense's zone, Rafal Kosowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesário Sanches came out of the goal and Rafal Kosowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Brzostowiec supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AD Pontassolense's performance. The match ended with a win for AD Pontassolense.
