Rafael Dalmu kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Leopoldo Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 9th minute of play. Olle Snell hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, DOROSTOL Ss's Branislav Velchevski threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolas Teixeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th minute, Arnaldo Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erasmo Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Branislav Velchevski made a huge save. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valko Chochkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DOROSTOL Ss's Leopoldo Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match DOROSTOL Ss got a corner. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tymoteusz Puchacz ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Teixeira in the 26th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when DOROSTOL Ss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Oriol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petrică Măcriș missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 39 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Leopoldo Rivero right hand side. Leopoldo Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Dalmu in the 40th minute of play. DOROSTOL Ss were furious when Joaquin Oriol was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DOROSTOL Ss!

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. André Monclús replaced Elpidio Francis. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Monclús was the one to do the kick off. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. DOROSTOL Ss's Leopoldo Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Valko Chochkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petrică Măcriș kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When Nicolas Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the DOROSTOL Ss fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Teixeira couldn't finish the play. André Monclús had several of the DOROSTOL Ss's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Leopoldo Rivero as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 72 minutes, Aimé Rispal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DOROSTOL Ss and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to DOROSTOL Ss getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Aimé Rispal hit a great ball. Leopoldo Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 73rd minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Măcriș in the 77th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Olle Snell heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 81st minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
