Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Sandalio in the 14th minute of the match. If Arnaldo Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes, Rogelio Jakes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Errecaborda AFC and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rogelio Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Branislav Velchevski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 26th minute of the match. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Gabon in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Victorino Sandalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olle Snell came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olle Snell couldn't finish the play. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Gines in the 44th minute of play. After the first half ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Elpidio Francis made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmond Verdun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Savion came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Velchevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Savion's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Edmond Verdun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Gabon in the 56th minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. Aristides Asteri replaced Arnaldo Gabon. André Monclús could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. After having played for 79 minutes, André Monclús managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Monclús was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Sandalio in the 80th minute of play. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Savion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Errecaborda AFC's Hipolito Neron was substituted for Miguel Savion. Errecaborda AFC's Isidro Gines was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Branislav Velchevski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Edmond Verdun was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and André Monclús capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André Monclús really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Sandalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Branislav Velchevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
