In the 13th minute, Jairo Baraquiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's Cipriano Pasqual sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lawrence Lawless narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Bochini in the 22nd minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Ermegildo Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Descamisados CF's goalkeeper Lawrence Lawless, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cipriano Pasqual took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lawrence Lawless. Lawrence Lawless dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Descamisados CF's goalkeeper Lawrence Lawless, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, CAI NEUQUEN's Cipriano Pasqual made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lawrence Lawless was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jairo Baraquiel might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermegildo Horado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Baraquiel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Descamisados CF's Darwin Bramantio got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The audience was convinced that Cipriano Pasqual's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lawrence Lawless was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 52nd minute, Anacleto Unax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in CAI NEUQUEN's zone, Jairo Baraquiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Horado came out of the goal and Jairo Baraquiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jairo Baraquiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Horado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Baraquiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. CAI NEUQUEN's Ermegildo Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Baraquiel in the 61st minute of play. Lee-Paul Ramon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Lawless having to interfere. Descamisados CF's Adrian Txartiko was substituted for Primeiro Imperiale. Lawrence Lawless made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miodrag Belo in the 66th minute. CAI NEUQUEN's Ermegildo Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Txartiko in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Txartiko in the 94th minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Ermegildo Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CAI NEUQUEN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
