The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Sebastian Käller notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Bal op het Dak's Harvey Davies. After 11 minutes of play, Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of FC Bal op het Dak booed when Kind of Blue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Mild didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilhelm Galle was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Válbson Almeida.

The wind increased when Martijn August made the kick off in the second half. Harvey Davies stood somewhat misplaced when Sebastian Käller came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Wilhelm Galle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Mendes in the 63rd minute of play. Epifanio Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Kind of Blue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Aznar to maneuver through the defense. FC Bal op het Dak's Harvey Davies proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bal op het Dak from getting a goal against them. Harvey Davies came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller. But to his dismay, Sebastian Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 75 minutes into the match, FC Bal op het Dak's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Käller came free, but Harvey Davies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harvey Davies took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Käller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bal op het Dak's Dan Kjellman got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kind of Blue's attentive Tonhão Rodrigues managed to snatch the ball when Eddy Neijsen made a throw-in in the 97th minute of the game.
