After 5 minutes of play, Silver Squad AFC's Frans Van Caubergen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luc Van Hinnendael was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luc Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damazy Radzyminski, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Nic Verheijd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luc Van Hinnendael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Van Caubergen in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Xavies Muñagorri could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Waud De Geyter however easily saved by the left post. Benjamin Carberry took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luc Van Hinnendael. Luc Van Hinnendael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 38th minute Silver Squad AFC were awarded a corner. Henrik Ooms went to the cornerflag to take it. Luc Van Hinnendael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bror Litenboks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavies Muñagorri. Shane Corrigan kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Silver Squad AFC's Waud De Geyter got control of the ball when Xavies Muñagorri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Waud De Geyter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Eggers in the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Xavies Muñagorri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Waud De Geyter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bruges from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Squad AFC's zone, Antonio Eggers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waud De Geyter came out of the goal and Antonio Eggers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78thth minute of the game Antonio Eggers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Silver Squad AFC's Waud De Geyter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Eggers came free, but Waud De Geyter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ken Brogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waud De Geyter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ken Brogren ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonio Eggers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frans Van Caubergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luc Van Hinnendael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Luc Van Hinnendael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damazy Radzyminski in the 92nd minute of the match. The FC Bruges fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when FC Bruges's Xavies Muñagorri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silver Squad AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
