With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Craandijk in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Sousa saved Decathlon Dudes from getting behind. César Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ksawery Gongola in the 19th minute of the match. Harmen Hilkes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Vingegaard. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ksawery Gongola to make the kick off. In the 61st minute Ksawery Gongola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Craandijk came free, but César Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Job Gasteren in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that FFC Merainies 03 were the better team. FFC Merainies 03's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
