The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Robertinho Carabajal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, Benjamin Carberry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulises Steven was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Izydor Czysta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ulises Steven was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertinho Carabajal in the 20th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Robertinho Carabajal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AFC Koolkerke's Christer Sunde quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Laurence Soens, made in the 25th minute of the game. Ulises Steven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loid De Keuster in the 26th minute of the match. Robertinho Carabajal might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waud De Geyter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robertinho Carabajal ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertinho Carabajal in the 30th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frans Van Caubergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waud De Geyter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robertinho Carabajal in the 36th minute. AFC Koolkerke's Ulises Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Carberry in the 37th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Loid De Keuster in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AFC Koolkerke's Clóvis Bittencourt. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Silver Squad AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tang Di Nan was slow to take the kick. During this time AFC Koolkerke's players had a chance to rest. In the 44th minute, AFC Koolkerke's Robertinho Carabajal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robertinho Carabajal got free with Waud De Geyter in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Laurence Soens got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Izydor Czysta. The supporters of Silver Squad AFC booed when AFC Koolkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Sunde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertinho Carabajal in the 55th minute of play. After 59th play minutes Robertinho Carabajal shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Waud De Geyter and just under the crossbar into goal. Ulises Steven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Carberry in the 62nd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Robertinho Carabajal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waud De Geyter. Silver Squad AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robertinho Carabajal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertinho Carabajal in the 72nd minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulises Steven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damazy Radzyminski, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Silver Squad AFC were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after AFC Koolkerke's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Ooms took the corner. Silver Squad AFC's Henrik Ooms was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulises Steven in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertinho Carabajal in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to AFC Koolkerke getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tang Di Nan hit a great ball. Joseph Smits received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Waud De Geyter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frans Van Caubergen in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulises Steven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
