Gürsel Aksel scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadej Pogačar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goal looked a bit too open when Gürsel Aksel came free, but Tadej Pogačar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Marinus Doren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15thth minute of the game Anthon Melin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basmane Texas's Franco Armani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Moisil in the 22nd minute of play forced Basmane Texas's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadej Pogačar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürsel Aksel in the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Decathlon Dudes defense, Gürsel Aksel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadej Pogačar. The Decathlon Dudes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadej Pogačar should have stopped the shot. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Henrik Larsson made the kick off in the second half. Gürsel Aksel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 94th minute Cezary Bara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cezary Bara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franco Armani. That made the score 4-2 in the 94 minute of play. Decathlon Dudes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
