Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Mascia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cosimo Mascia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Mascia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosimo Mascia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosimo Mascia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cosimo Mascia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to fire away a dangerous shot which Cosimo Mascia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Alonso Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cosimo Mascia to make any attempt to save it. After 29 minutes, Noureddine Sanchis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Peru's Rolando Noboa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Guntademaro Pena made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Cosimo Mascia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. When LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Clovis Hénot in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Pascal Laadal got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cosimo Mascia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noureddine Sanchis in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Noureddine Sanchis to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosimo Mascia. The LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosimo Mascia should have stopped the shot. If Noureddine Sanchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the game, Guntademaro Pena threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play forced LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Cosimo Mascia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascal Laadal got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hüseyin Eroğlu. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Noureddine Sanchis got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clovis Hénot. In the 77th minute Noureddine Sanchis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noureddine Sanchis in the 85th minute of play. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Hong Sha Sang got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Noureddine Sanchis. 90 minutes into the game, Herbert Carette threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 92 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosimo Mascia. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
