Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Konstantinos Galanopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stratos Vogiatzis having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stratos Vogiatzis. Stratos Vogiatzis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 32 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ's Stratos Vogiatzis. Stratos Vogiatzis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ's goalkeeper Stratos Vogiatzis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stratos Vogiatzis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Stratos Vogiatzis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 65th minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play.
