Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Busk, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Griskultingarnas FF got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arman Ekström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochem Klooster in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natasha Sjøholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Natasha Sjøholm had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arman Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Griskultingarnas FF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jochem Klooster hit a great ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Griskultingarnas FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Smedfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jimmy Busk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jochem Klooster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Jochem Klooster had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jochem Klooster was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jochem Klooster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Natasha Sjøholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jochem Klooster stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Griskultingarnas FF getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Arman Ekström hit a great ball. Natasha Sjøholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute of play forced Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper Natasha Sjøholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Griskultingarnas FF's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natasha Sjøholm came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jochem Klooster's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natasha Sjøholm having to make a save. In the 71st minute, Olívio Sjøholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natasha Sjøholm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Jochem Klooster tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jochem Klooster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natasha Sjøholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, Griskultingarnas FF still came away with the win.
