After 9 minutes of play, AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's Baltasar Distiratsu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Baltasar Distiratsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Baltasar Distiratsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Tuste in the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 罗亮磊 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to AMAZON DU DAHOMEY getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Matt Newby hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th match minute, AMAZON DU DAHOMEY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Newby to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 32nd minute of play forced AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's goalkeeper 罗亮磊 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Distiratsu to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the AMAZON DU DAHOMEY players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Cristian Tuste capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Tuste really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Cristian Tuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lloyd Findley in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 96th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AMAZON DU DAHOMEY walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
