The supporters of Wisła Tczew booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elazar Calderon in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joris Verheecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elazar Calderon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joris Verheecke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 34th minute, Sever Dejeu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Verheecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elazar Calderon's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Elazar Calderon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joris Verheecke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elazar Calderon was the one to do the kick off. Wisła Tczew's Joris Verheecke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Wisła Tczew from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elazar Calderon in the 60th minute of play. Wisła Tczew's Elazar Calderon managed to work through Ecuador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Elazar Calderon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elazar Calderon in the 66th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elazar Calderon in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Monge Mong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Wisła Tczew got a freekick which was hit by Atıf Tekin. 68 minutes into the match, Wisła Tczew's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Joris Verheecke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wisła Tczew fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! 0-2 came through a penalty shot after 75 played minutes, when Ecuador:s Daniel Zorita calmly waited for Wisła Tczew:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Elazar Calderon came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Elazar Calderon put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Zula Pryputnicki kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play.
