The audience was convinced that Luca Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Lajoie was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Manuel Lajoie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Lorenzo Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lajoie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Manuel Lajoie 33 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Cadaval got free with Manuel Lajoie in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, FC Werdenberg's goalkeeper Manuel Lajoie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tudor Caragea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lajoie was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Manuel Lajoie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Lajoie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 62nd minute of play. Manuel Lajoie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Felix Luque fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Felix Luque a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Manuel Lajoie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Lajoie. FC Werdenberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 85 minutes into the match, FC Werdenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Manuel Lajoie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 85th minute. Manuel Lajoie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Lajoie. Manuel Lajoie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 93 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Lajoie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Lajoie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Miranda hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
