Márcio Varanda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Varanda saved Mindelos Academy from getting behind. Márcio Varanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 84th minute of play forced Mindelos Academy's goalkeeper Márcio Varanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Mindelos Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Márcio Varanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mindelos Academy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
