Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's Aniol Paris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Sociedad Deportiva Aboque from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radomil Jaraczeski's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomil Jaraczeski in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Marinho came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toni Buenafuente who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's corner Toni Buenafuente fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Aniol Paris made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Aniol Paris however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aniol Paris came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sociedad Deportiva Aboque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Mera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Aníbal Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén Mera hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Aníbal Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aniol Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aniol Paris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Feijo Segarra thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Aniol Paris, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 1-0. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 62nd minute of play forced Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's goalkeeper Aniol Paris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Feijo Segarra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu de Andrade. In the 76th minute of the match Sociedad Deportiva Aboque got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Feijo Segarra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Henrik Stenquist hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aniol Paris showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aniol Paris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Feijo Segarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sociedad Deportiva Aboque's supporters rose to their feet, but Feijo Segarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aníbal Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ecuador fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sociedad Deportiva Aboque had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
