In the 5th minute Iñigo Pedrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, USD Marosticense's Nic Zaniolo got a free kick in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Amerigo Vida in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. USD Marosticense's Amerigo Vida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save USD Marosticense from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Taniel Valter came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nic Zaniolo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Amerigo Vida made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amerigo Vida. Amerigo Vida yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. USD Marosticense's Amerigo Vida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save USD Marosticense from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. USD Marosticense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, USD Marosticense's Taniel Valter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USD Marosticense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Göksun Uçanay in the 58th minute. Amerigo Vida came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 68th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Vida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amerigo Vida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 70th minute of play. Agustín Saelices scored 4-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amerigo Vida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Iñigo Pedrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amerigo Vida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Amerigo Vida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Amerigo Vida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by USD Marosticense's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In a very dangerous position, a player in USD Marosticense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iñigo Pedrosa in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göksun Uçanay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amerigo Vida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
