An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 11th minute of play forced ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s goalkeeper Candido Haitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Sanduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ruperto Sanduru succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Candido Haitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. In the 28th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Rafe made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ruperto Sanduru. Ruperto Sanduru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Haitz having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Ruperto Sanduru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s Felix Cordarrell suffered a sprained foot after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jaime Pardo's late challenge caught a ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Pardo helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Pardo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruperto Sanduru to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Hilario Baladi in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. The crowd rose to their feet as Hector Covarrubias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Candido Haitz. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Ruperto Sanduru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Candido Haitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With his leg Candido Haitz managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Candido Haitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilario Baladi made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s Candido Haitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 82nd minute of play. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Candido Haitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Haitz saved ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ from getting behind. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute, Ruperto Sanduru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
