Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Stanislas Le Duigou made a huge save. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stanislas Le Duigou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. John Skytt scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Riki Čapo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Santino Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 60 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when John Skytt came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, John Skytt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Kevin Mastache scored 2-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanislas Le Duigou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Ignacio Mastache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanislas Le Duigou was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 91st minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Stanislas Le Duigou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 92nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of NECKER49's goalie and right to Pascual Carballar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. NECKER49's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
