Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Central's Luisito Quintan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Central's Salih Orus got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salih Orus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Salih Orus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Central's Salih Orus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Central from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Central the free kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. When Eugenio Vermudo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Central fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Vermudo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Central's Salih Orus got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salih Orus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Central's Justinian Law got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 35 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Salih Orus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute. Salih Orus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador made a substitution. Luz Palacio replaced Daniel Zorita. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justinian Law didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Felix Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Salih Orus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luz Palacio to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Salih Orus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salih Orus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Central's Gelu Nicolau got a free kick in the 55th minute. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Central's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felix Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After 65 played minutes Central got a freekick which was hit by Celso Santxol. When Luz Palacio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Palacio couldn't finish the play. Central's Salih Orus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Palacio in the 75th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Luz Palacio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Salih Orus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Central's Salih Orus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Palacio in the 80th minute of play. Luz Palacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Salih Orus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovani Lo Celso in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Luz Palacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Salih Orus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luz Palacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Central's Celso Santxol got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Luz Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
