Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute San Diego FC were awarded a corner. Talip Ecemiş went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yusuf Stegen. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dainius Bagdonas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dainius Bagdonas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yusuf Stegen having to make a save. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yusuf Stegen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Yusuf Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Yusuf Stegen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yusuf Stegen. The goal made the score 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in San Diego FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusuf Stegen came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dainius Bagdonas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dainius Bagdonas made a kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dainius Bagdonas in the 51st minute of play. Yusuf Stegen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 71 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yusuf Stegen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Yusuf Stegen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yusuf Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
