Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hans Otterlei kicked off to start the match. After 8 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Delfino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 12 minutes La Cosa Nostra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of La Cosa Nostra booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Otterlei in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Otterlei in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joel Suarez, made in the 39th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Peru's Joel Delfino threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luz Tejedor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Peru booed when La Cosa Nostra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Hodge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute of play. Joel Delfino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes in the game Emmanuel Reyes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Milagros Fraga. Hans Otterlei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Delfino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th play minute Marciano Bizen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rolando Noboa. 0-3. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After 86 minutes of play, La Cosa Nostra's Marciano Bizen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Gallo scored 1-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Delfino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Marciano Bizen took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Rolando Noboa to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peru lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
