Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Ondrej Popluhár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dušan Hríb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 played minutes FC Melon got a freekick which was hit by Matúš Zmoraj. 35 minutes into the match, FC Melon's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dušan Hríb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dušan Hríb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas had several of the FC Melon's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Dušan Hríb as he didn't even see the shot coming. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miroslav Záhorský to make the kick off. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Maroš Fridrichovský sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dušan Hríb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Dušan Hríb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dušan Hríb having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Melon's zone, Guillermo Mariano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dušan Hríb came out of the goal and Guillermo Mariano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dušan Hríb was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 83rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Secada to maneuver through the defense. Dušan Hríb didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FC Melon's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dušan Hríb came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
