Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Laykers's Ermanno Lalli started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Laykers got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Lalli. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Laykers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Demetrio Greco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Laykers's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Demetrio Greco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermanno Lalli in the 14th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonello Cesareo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Demetrio Greco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demetrio Greco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Laykers's Ermanno Lalli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 after 33 minutes of play. Demetrio Greco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Laykers's Demetrio Greco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Greco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match, Ermanno Lalli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anthony Pellecchia kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Ermanno Lalli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Demetrio Greco in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Demetrio Greco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Lalli in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Greco having to interfere. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Demetrio Greco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ermanno Lalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demetrio Greco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laykers.
